Clinic software by specialty, what fits and what does not

Vitels is one product for the outpatient day in India: registration, tokens, consultation, a prescription on your letterhead, the fee and the day book. It has no specialty editions. These pages take one specialty at a time and say plainly which parts of that OPD Vitels runs well, which it does not touch, and what a clinic does about the gap.

In short

How one product serves different specialties

Every specialty OPD shares the same desk: find the patient, give a token, see the doctor, print the prescription, take the fee. Vitels does that part. What differs is the clinical record: a tooth chart, a refraction, a growth curve, a session plan. Vitels does not hold those. Each doctor shapes the prescription pad with their own favourites and templates, and the complaint and diagnosis fields learn from that doctor's own visits, so a dermatologist's pad fills with creams and a diabetologist's with monthly repeats, without Vitels shipping a specialty edition.

The same in every specialty

  • Families on one phone number, guardian for under-18s
  • Daily token queue; tokens on WhatsApp and SMS
  • Keyboard-first pad with per-doctor favourites and templates
  • Print on your letterhead, A4 or A5, nothing from us on the page
  • One fee per visit, cash, UPI or card; A4 day book
  • Queue, consultation, print and billing work offline

What each specialty asks for, and where Vitels stands

Read the right-hand column before the left one. A clinic whose core record is in that column should run Vitels beside a dedicated system, or look elsewhere.

The specialty pages

Each one walks through that specialty's outpatient day, maps it to live features, and ends with the list of what Vitels does not do for that clinic.

Questions

Straight answers

Is Vitels specialty software or general clinic software?

General clinic software for the outpatient day: registration, token queue, appointments, consultation, prescription print on your letterhead, fee and day book, reports. There is no dental, eye, physio or paediatric edition. Each page here says what a specialty asks for, what Vitels does, and what it does not.

Can I set it up for my specialty myself?

Yes, within what the product offers. Each doctor builds their own favourites and multi-drug templates on the prescription pad, the complaint and diagnosis fields learn from that doctor's completed visits, and follow-up chips can be set for the intervals you use. Vitels does not ship specialty templates or fields.

Which specialties should look at dedicated software instead?

Any clinic whose core record is something Vitels does not hold: a tooth chart for dentists, a refraction for eye clinics, session packages for physiotherapy, clinical photos for dermatology, antenatal flowsheets for obstetrics. Those clinics can still run the OPD desk, queue, prescriptions and fees in Vitels beside that system, and the specialty page says so.

Does a multi-specialty clinic need one account per specialty?

No. One clinic account holds every doctor. With Vitels Pro at ₹999 per clinic per month, each doctor has their own queue, fees, consultation duration, timings, favourites and templates, and reports show patients and collections by doctor.
