Changelog

What changed in Vitels, newest first.

Changes to the Vitels clinic app that are live for clinics today, by month. Last updated 24 Oct 2026. Bug fixes and security work are not listed one by one.

October 2026

  1. Phone, tablet and desktop layouts

Every screen was reworked to fit phones, tablets and desktops. Signing in now opens Home, and the top bar shows the role you are signed in as.

  2. Find the clinic on the map during set-up

When you set up a clinic, search for its location and check the address shown for the point you saved.

  3. More choices in clinic set-up

"Other" is now a choice for specialisation and department. Consulting hours can be set to the full day and copied to every day of the week, and the follow-up period can be anything from 1 to 30 days.

  4. Larger text

A larger type scale across the app, with dashboards centred on wide screens and a calmer action bar.

  5. A clear screen while your clinic is verified

A new clinic waiting for the Vitels team to verify the doctor's registration now sees an approval screen that says so, instead of an empty app.

  6. No-shows on appointments

The front desk can mark a booked patient who did not come as a no-show.

  7. New logo and app icons

The Vitels logo, wordmark and app icons now appear throughout the app.

  8. A new front-desk screen

The front desk gets its own dashboard for walk-ins and the day's appointments. Clinic admins get settings for queue rules and desk notifications.

  9. Calendar and appointment booking

Day, week and month views of each doctor's sessions, leave and closed days. The front desk books a patient into a session, checks them in, reschedules or cancels. There is no online payment.

  10. Revenue page

Summary cards with the change on last month, a searchable list of transactions with filters, and a per-doctor split for clinic admins. Receipts can be downloaded again, and voided bills are marked "Voided".

  11. Reports by week and month

Reports can now be grouped by week and by month as well as by day, and Export Records opens the patient's printable history.

  12. Settings, profile and notifications

Settings for doctor schedules and leave, extra questions on the registration form and prescription print layouts. In-app notifications for events in your clinic.

  13. Redesigned Home and Patients

A new Home dashboard and Patients page, a preview of the prescription before it prints, and reports by visit.

  14. Guided clinic set-up

A doctor can now sign up and set up a clinic in a step-by-step wizard. The Vitels team verifies the doctor's registration before the clinic goes live.

  15. Sign-in codes by SMS

One-time sign-in codes are sent by SMS to the +91 mobile number of the doctor or staff member signing in. There are no passwords.

  16. Sign out everywhere

Sign out of every device in one step. When a clinic admin removes a staff member, that person is signed out at once.

September 2026

  1. Patient registration

Search by phone or name before creating a patient, with several family members on one phone number. The registration notice is in English and Hindi.

  2. Token queue

Daily tokens shared by reception and the doctor, with priority, reordering, a doctor for each patient and a "stepped out" status that keeps the patient's place. An optional 80 mm token slip shows the patients ahead and an approximate wait.

  3. Consultation and prescription pad

One screen with the patient's history beside the pad. Drug search, favourites and templates for each doctor, keyboard shortcuts, and a repeat visit in three steps: Start, F4 to repeat the last prescription, Ctrl+Enter to save and print.

  4. Prescription print on your letterhead

A5 or A4, with the clinic letterhead, logo and the doctor's registration number. No vendor branding.

  5. Billing, receipts and the day book

Fees per doctor or per clinic, cash, UPI or card, an A5 receipt and an A4 day book with totals by payment mode. A saved amount cannot be edited; a mistake is voided with a reason and a new receipt issued.

  6. Reports and patient history

Patients and collections by day and by payment mode, counts for each doctor, and a follow-up due list. Every past visit of a patient, printable, with any earlier prescription one step from repeating.

  7. Works offline

The queue, consultation, prescription print and billing keep working without internet and sync when the connection returns. Registering a new patient needs a connection. The header shows what is waiting to sync.

  8. Full data export

A clinic admin can download all the clinic's data as CSV files in one zip at any time, without asking Vitels.

Not in Vitels yet.

ABHA linking, teleconsultation, online payment, lab orders and multi-branch clinics are not live, and this page will say when they are. The full picture is on the features page and in the FAQ.
