What is clinic management software?
Clinic management software runs the daily work of an outpatient clinic in one place: registering patients, managing the queue, recording the consultation, printing the prescription, billing, and keeping each patient's history. It replaces the register, the token board and the handwritten pad, and it gives the clinic owner reports at the end of the day.

Why most clinic software slows the doctor down
Most clinic management software is designed around the receptionist and the owner's reports. The doctor gets a form with many fields, a mouse-driven drug search and a screen that scrolls. In a waiting room of forty patients that adds up, and doctors often go back to the handwritten pad.
Vitels starts from the consultation screen. History, pad and queue fit on one 1366×768 screen with no scrolling for a three-drug prescription, and every common action has a keyboard shortcut. A repeat visit is three steps: Start, F4, Ctrl+Enter.
What a small clinic in India actually needs
A single-doctor or two-doctor clinic does not need inpatient wards, pharmacy stock, lab modules or an insurance desk. It needs registration that finds the returning patient on a phone number, a queue both screens agree on, a prescription that prints on the clinic's own letterhead, a receipt, and a day book that balances.
It also needs to keep working when the broadband drops at 11 am. Vitels keeps today's queue, each patient's recent history, the drug list and the doctor's favourites on the device, and drains an ordered outbox when the connection returns.
- Several patients on one phone number
- Per-doctor fees, timings, favourites and templates
- Saved bills cannot be edited, only voided with a reason
- Full data export as CSV from the admin screen, no approval needed

A checklist for choosing clinic management software
Use this on any product, including ours.
- Can the doctor write and print a three-drug prescription without touching the mouse?
- Does the queue update on the doctor's screen within seconds of reception changing it?
- Does it keep working with no internet, and what exactly stops working?
- Does the prescription print on your letterhead with no vendor branding, advertising or pharmacy reference?
- Can you export every record as plain CSV files without asking anyone?
- Is there a per-doctor, per-patient or per-SMS charge hidden behind the headline price?
- Who at the vendor can open your patient records, and is that access logged where you can see it?
- Does it suggest drugs or diagnoses, and do you want software doing that?
Vitels is not for every clinic
We would rather you find this out here than after you have moved your patients in.
- Hospitals with inpatient admissions, wards or an operation theatre schedule
- Clinics that want pharmacy stock, dispensing or drug sales inside the same software
- Clinics that need lab orders, teleconsultation or ABHA linking today; these are on the roadmap, not live
- Clinics that want drug-interaction or dosage checking; clinical decision support is permanently out of scope
Questions
Straight answers
01What does clinic management software cost in India?
Prices vary, often with per-doctor or per-SMS charges on top; ask any vendor for the all-in annual figure. Vitels has no licence fee, no per-doctor fee and no per-patient fee. Medyzen, a managed-pharmacy company, builds it to work closely with clinics, and that relationship is disclosed on the pricing page and in the application.
02Is clinic management software the same as EMR software?
An EMR is the clinical record: the consultation, the prescription and the history. Clinic management software is the wider set that also covers registration, queue, billing and reports. Vitels includes both; the EMR is the consultation screen and patient history.
03Does it work for a clinic with two or three doctors?
Yes. Each doctor has their own queue, fees, consultation duration, availability, favourites and templates. Reception sees every doctor's queue. Reports split by doctor.
04Does it work offline?
Queue, consultation, prescription printing, billing and search among cached patients all work with no internet. New patient registration and search beyond cached patients need a connection, and the screen says so plainly.
05Is Vitels ABDM compliant?
Not yet. The clinic's ABDM facility and doctor registration status can be recorded in settings, but nothing is sent to ABDM today. ABHA linking and consent-based record sharing are on the roadmap. We do not advertise incentive figures.
06Can I move my data out if I stop using it?
Yes. A clinic admin can export the full clinic data as CSV files in a zip from the admin screen at any time, with no approval from Medyzen.
