01Is Vitels really free for clinics?
There is no licence fee, no per-doctor fee and no per-patient fee. Medyzen builds Vitels because clinics that use it become long-term relationships for Medyzen's pharmacy business. Nothing inside the software routes your patients to Medyzen, and your prescription data is never sold or shared.
02Does it work when the internet goes down?
Yes. Today's queue, each patient's recent history, the drug list and your favourites are kept on the device. You can call patients, write and print prescriptions and record bills with no connection. Everything syncs when the connection returns. Only new patient registration needs the internet.
03Can two or three doctors use it in one clinic?
Yes. Each doctor has their own queue, fees, consultation duration, availability, favourites and templates. Reception sees every doctor's queue. Reports split by doctor.
04What do I need to run it?
A browser on the desktop or laptop you already have at the front desk. Doctors can use a tablet. No installation, no server in the clinic. A printer for prescriptions and receipts.
05Who can see my patients' records?
Only staff you add to your clinic. Clinics are separated at the database level, so one clinic can never read another's records. No Medyzen staff member has standing access to patient records. If support ever needs to open a record, it is reason-gated, time-limited and written to an access log your clinic admin can read at any time.
06Does Vitels suggest drugs or diagnoses?
No. It records your decisions and makes repeating them fast. There is no drug-interaction checking, dosage validation or diagnosis suggestion, and there will not be.
07Can I take my data out?
Yes, at any time, with no approval needed. A clinic admin can export the full clinic data as CSV files in a zip from the admin screen.
08Is it ABDM-ready?
Not yet. Your clinic's ABDM facility and doctor registration status can be recorded in settings, but nothing is sent to ABDM today. ABHA linking and consent-based record sharing are on the roadmap and not switched on. We do not advertise incentive figures; eligibility under any government scheme depends on your clinic's own registrations and NHA verification.
Setup
Getting started and what you need.
01How do I start?
Open the app, enter your mobile number, type the OTP. Fill in your name, clinic details and role. If you are a doctor, add your registration number and consultation details. Add attendants if you have them. Submit for verification.
02How long does verification take?
We check each doctor's registration number with the medical council. Usually one working day, Monday to Saturday. You can set up staff and settings while you wait.
03Can I add a second doctor later?
Yes, from Admin. Set their fees, duration and availability, then send them an invitation link. The link is single-use and bound to their mobile number.
04What devices and browsers?
Any current Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari on Windows, macOS, Android or iPad. The consultation screen is designed for 1366×768 and up; tablets get a tabbed layout.
05Do I need a printer?
For prescriptions and receipts, yes. Any A4 or A5 printer. Token slips use an optional 80 mm thermal printer.
Roadmap
What is coming, and what never will.
01What is coming next?
ABHA linking and consent-based record sharing, WhatsApp prescription send with explicit confirmation, lab orders and report attachment, teleconsultation, multi-branch clinics, and an AI scribe through a third-party integration.
02Will you add drug interaction checking?
No. Clinical decision support is permanently out of scope. The software records the doctor's decision and never influences it.
03Will you add clinic drug stock or dispensing?
No. Vitels never handles clinic drug stock, dispensing records or drug sales.
Set up your clinic in about ten minutes.
Sign in with your mobile number, enter the clinic details, and our team verifies your medical council registration before patient registration switches on. Usually one working day.
