Comparison methodology
How we compare clinic software, and what we never say about other products.
Every alternative, pricing and head-to-head page on this site is built only from what each vendor publishes on its own website and app listing, dated to the day we read it, and re-checked every quarter. Vitels is on the same points, kept apart, because we make it.
Six rules behind every comparison page.
Read the vendor's own pages
We fetch the other product's website: home, product, pricing, FAQ and help pages, plus its own listing on Google Play where it has one. Each page is read in full and saved as text with the date we read it.
Quote, do not paraphrase into a claim
Each statement about the other product is matched to an exact passage on one of those pages. Prices, plan names, module names and limits are written as the vendor wrote them, often in quotation marks.
Write "not stated" when they are silent
If we could not find something on the pages we read, the page says "not stated" and turns it into a question to ask the vendor. It never fills the gap with a guess or with what a reseller, review site or forum says.
Put the date on the page
The lead and the comparison table name the day the vendor's site was read, for example "read on 26 Oct 2026". Sources are listed on the page so you can open the same pages yourself.
Keep Vitels apart
Vitels's side is written only from features that are live in Vitels today, and is kept in its own cards or column because we make it. Where the other product documents something Vitels does not do, the page says so.
Re-check every quarter
Each comparison page is on a review register with a next review date three months after publishing, and is re-checked sooner if the vendor changes its pricing or product pages.
What we do not say about competitors
- Ratings, star scores, rankings or a "best" label for any product, ours included.
- Customer counts, market share or user numbers for another product, unless quoted as the vendor's own claim and needed for the comparison.
- Superlatives and certifications from a vendor's marketing, such as "largest" or a compliance badge, repeated as if we had checked them.
- Anything about another product's security, data use or reliability that its own pages do not say.
- Information from sales calls, demos, ex-customers, review sites or forums.
- Features of Vitels that are not live, or a prediction of what either product will add.
The working files
Every comparison page lists the vendor pages we read under Sources. For the main comparisons we also keep a claims ledger: each statement on the page, the vendor page it comes from, the exact passage and a status of Verified or Removed. Lines we could not tie to a passage are taken out before the page is published, or kept only as a question to ask the vendor.
The same sourcing rules apply to our guides. See the editorial policy.
The pages this method covers.
- Alternative pages, for clinics weighing a move from a named product.
- Pricing pages, setting out what each vendor publishes about price.
- Head-to-head pages that put two other products on the same points.
- The market overview of clinic software used in India.
All of them are listed on the compare page.
About our comparisons.
Are the comparison pages neutral?
No page written by a vendor is neutral, and we say on each one that we make Vitels. What we can promise is the method: the other product is described only from its own pages, with the date, and Vitels is kept apart so you can tell the two sides from each other.
What if a vendor's pricing has changed since the date on the page?
Then the page is out of date until its next review. Check the vendor's pricing page and ask for a written quote. If you tell us, we re-check it sooner.
Why does a page say "not stated" for something I know the product does?
Because we did not find it on the vendor's own pages on the day we read them. "Not stated" is not "does not do". Ask the vendor in their demo, and write to us with the page where they publish it.
Can a vendor ask for a correction?
Yes. Write to hello@vitels.in with the page and the passage on your own website that shows the change. We re-read the page and update the comparison and its date.
